BURLINGTON, ONTARIO, April 22, 2011 - Sodexo Canada continues to make strides in the realm of sustainability and corporate citizenship and today celebrated Earth Day with the announcement that they have been recognized as one of Canada's Greenest Employers. Companies were assessed on their success in fostering a culture of environmental awareness.  The recognition from Mediacorp Canada was based on four main criteria:

  • The environmental program the company has developed

  • The amount that the company has reduced their environmental footprint

  • The degree their employees are involved in these programs

“This recognition is one that we're extremely proud of and shows that we are truly committed to the advancement of sustainability initiatives in Canada and that we are engraining these values across our entire employee base.” stated Director of Corporate Citizenship, Chris Roberts.  “We've worked diligently at all levels of the organization to make a positive impact on the environment and will continue to do so, we've just scratched the surface of what we can achieve.”
